GP with coilovers

Install is done now on the coilovers. I hate to say as a GP owner but the results were better than I had hoped for, the ride is nice, the handling and response is even better and the way the car reacts under braking is a nice improvement. LDG completed the install and set them up. I ended up needing the folowing to complete the set up using M7 coilovers.

M7 coilovers
H-sport rear comp sway bar
H-sport adjustable camber plates
H-sport adjustable rear lower control arms
TSW 14mm stud kit
5mm wheel spacers (due to the GP wheel offset of 52)

I put the Cross/JIC coilovers in this Friday on my GP, no swaybars.... just the Cross kit with the camber plates that come with it and drop links. Good grief it handles like an F1 car now and I havent even corner balanced it. The ride is ALSO BETTER THAN STOCK!!!!!

I had no fitment issues with these coilovers on the GP, they dropped straight in

Must say jumping from my S with eibach coilovers into the GP, the GP yes handles well but by gawd when you hoof it on it fairly rolls about especially when you are agressive with the accelerator.

I like the way it feels like the car is squatting down at the back under hard acceleration but on roundabouts it leans so much.

Surely the air dams at the front must catch on every ramp, gradient and bump? Could do with out them, seeing the wheels now sit further up in the arch.

I will try and take some pics today, I haven't slammed it like some do but I do notice slight rubbing now and then of the rubber pieces under the car. The cornering is so planted now vs. the stock ride.

THe roads I drive are so bumpy on std springs and dampers the car hits the road

I might have to go coil overs and keep the ride height the same.

the spring rates are very aggressive but it sure doesn't feel like it. The dampening is something they obviously spent a lot of time getting right. I couldn't be more happy

KW V2 or V3 or Bilsteins are the way to go mate, but are you now keeping the GP?

Is there not some fitment issues at the back? I thought the rear suspension was slightly different than the R53 Mini's?

I have driven numerous cars with the Bilsteins and KWs and they don't hold a candle to the Cross/JICs

We have bushings for them to fit, these will also fit the 07 cars. You can slam the car and still have 50/50 travel of the suspension
