M7 Air Plate Diverter (APD)

hi, anyone fitted one of these to their GP?
(it's the tiny piece of carbon fibre inbetween the bumper and the radiator.)

apparently you can't but i'm sure i've read a blog somewere where a guy has?

The M7 APD fits and looks fine in a GP...
Cut a line in the gray inso/isolation foam at either end of the heat exchanger to allow the APD to slide into position (aft) and secure it with the two shouldered nuts. The APD comes with double stick tape on the bottom to hold it on to (the top) of the bumper, but it doesn't really seem necessary...

i have been speaking to a few people about this item, and yes it sound like it works, but air will still go through the radiator without, as that is the easiest routecompareed to going up. i am dubious as to how much this product really works. The idea sounds good, but is it really working in practice??????????

Yes, the APD is fitted on my GP and the >dummy< coolant temp gauge in the speedo registers about two pointer widths lower after the engine comes to temp. A future mod will be to add a true coolant temp gauge to see what the actual differnce may be...
