Offline | Tyres again!! I am picking up my JCW 2003 next week. The car has Pirelli Eufori@ tyres all round. What are peoples thoughts on these I was thinking of changing them for Goodyear GSD3s in 215/45-17 size (not available in 205) Has anyone changed to standard tyres from runflats? Are there big benifits? Cheers |

Offline | One of the best upgrades you can make. The GSD3 in 215/45-17 is the best size for the MCS. The car will handle better, grip better and be quieter. A winner all round Laser Blue / Black MCS - Arived March 07 |

Offline | 215/45-17 are actually closer in overall diameter then the 215/40-17 Not by much, the 45 is 10mm larger the 40 is 12mm smaller. Not that it make much of a difference. I will probably go for the new goodyear F1 Assemetric tyres, they seem to be getting raved about in the press. Second would be the toyo T1-R, really like these tyres, used them previously on my cars and they perform very well. Only draw back is the design is now a good few years old, and things move on fast in the tyre world. Definatly will be going for 215/45-17 size. Oh and a can of tyre foam!!! ![]() |

Offline | Now thats worth thinking about. I would prefer the extra rubber on the sidewall, for both steering feel and bump absorbtion, but saving 3lbs per corner is a significant amount. ![]() |
