Co2 emissions on a JCW/GP

Hi

Anybody know what the C02 emissions are for a works/gp?

Well, the tax here in the UK is £205 per year which puts it in band F which is 'over 185 g/km' but under 225 g/km.

I've read elswhere (but not sure of the accuracy) that it is 207 g/km. It's probably correct.

Quoted where?

According to MINI (click 'Data Sheet') pre 1 July 2004 JCW is 270 g/km whereas the facelift is 281 g/km.

Pretty surprising figures when the JCW GP brochure quotes 207 g/km

It is.

And it puts UK cars registered new on or after 23 March 2006 in the £300 a year bracket!

It is 207 g/km on my GP's V5.

So they're not getting over £300 out of me when I renew my tax!

I think you'll find all the JCWs say the same thing on their V5s.

In that case as far as the gov't is concerned, all JCW MCSs are 207 g/km and therefore band F.

That's fine.

That's right. That's the beauty of the JCW Tuning Kit being a factory option rather than a stand-alone model

Checked my Reg has 211 on it. R52 works. Slightly heavier than the GP so will account for the raise. Not sure where you got the 281 from but thats a lot higher than my X5

As my Works was factory fitted it is classed as built at 211 rather than aftermarket then it would be a standard S at 199.

Where are you getting 199 from Zato? The standard 1st Gen Hatchback (post facelift) is 207.

I've just realised my mistake

The full figures for JCW cars are:

Pre-facelift:

Urban: 270g/km
Extra-Urban: 162g/km
Combined: 202g/km

Post-facelift:

Urban: 281g/km
Extra-Urban: 163g/km
Combined: 207g/km
