| MINI2 Regular | JCW S going to a new home I have decided to trade my trusty 210hp JCW S in for a new motor.I hope i dont regret this decision as i have had nearly 4 years of reliable fun, fun, fun in the mini, and also a regular viewer of this great forum. My reason to move on has been highlighted by the slippy roads this winter,210 hp in a FWD car is no good. Power is nothing without traction. So what am i getting? Impreza wrx 2.5 SL with prodrive kit fitted. 420Nm torque @ 3000rpm and 270PS 0-100mph in 14 secs. If i end up missing the JCW i can always return (would make sure i got a LSD equiped one) Cheers Beatbox |

Offline | Interesting, I've never driven an MCS without LSD. My LSD equiped MCS has never given any traction problems, which isn't what I was expecting at all! Still, it's never going to rival an Impreza for traction, but I just don't think I could live with £400 a year for RFL! ![]() Good luck with the Subaru and, if you come back to MINI, then a LSD really does make all the difference ![]() Tigger. ![]() May 08: Thanks to all of my friends on Mini2 for a lot of great times over the last 4 years. In future I can always be contacted here! |

Offline | I would love to know what you got as a trade in value. Out of interest i was looking at a new car this morning but the value the garage gave me was a joke, i all but told him to f*ck off. pm me if you would rather be discreet. |

Offline | I recently got offered part ex of £13k on my 55 plate 210 Works, loads of extras full leather, satnav, sunroof, JCW wheels and brakes, auto aircon. 11k mileage. I wasn't looking for a price, it was in the dealers getting some work done and they left an envelope on the seat. I traded my last Works in after 3 years and got 13k about 67% retained value and that didn't have anywhere near the extras this one has got, so you can see how much the retained value after 3yrs has dropped. Mind you the extras don't add much to the trade-in price. To get 11k is pretty good going. |

Offline | £11k was what i was thinking, mine has 32k miles and a great spec, leather, sat nav, xenons, parking sensors and more. The price they offered was a total joke, but it was a shitron garage. Looking at a C2 VTS hdi. I am getting tired of 23mpg to be honest, and will be moving job location in August so will be doing more miles. I wonder what kind of price i would get against a s/h Dooper. |

| MINI2 Regular | Yes i think 11K is ok,but i think i'm going to miss her. I too am only getting 23 mpg at the mo with the cold weather, about 25mpg in the summer. So i think (hoping) thats about the same as the wrx. I think i got a good deal on the WRX too.£16500 07 plate 4000 miles, full leather, heated seats, sun roof , xenons, climate control, prodrive performance pack and in black |

Offline | That's £4,500 less than the WhatCar target price for a WRX with leather from when your car was new. That can't be bad at all ![]() ![]() May 08: Thanks to all of my friends on Mini2 for a lot of great times over the last 4 years. In future I can always be contacted here! |

Offline | Thats a great price for the wrx, i doubt you will get much less than 25mpg from it. To be honest i am a bit shocked about the minis mpg, i knew is was not great but 23mpg really is a joke, i wonder if a remap would help. Before i bought it was was looking ata 147GTA Alfa and only didnt buy it because i thought it would not be great on fuel, ha... At some point this year i will have to get a diesel, just not sure what one. |

Offline | I'm sorry to say this but you'll only get 15-18 MPG out of prodive WRX. Mates selling his after 6 months because can't afford to run it it only does 10miles a week. £60-70 for not even 200miles plus octane boost. |

| MINI2 Master | beatbox, do not expect fuel economy on the Scooby. My mate has not long ago bought a 2005 WRX sportswagon. He gets about 20mpg ona good day, cane it drops sharply. Hope you are hapy with it, not sure i could put up with the tin like build quality myslef and 1980's interior. Oh and the thing of Minis overtaking me, lol |
