United-Kingdom How To Sell a JCW MINI

So folks, how do I do it successfully? I have a gorgeous looking car (and obviously an awful lot of people have taken a look at it in the classified section) that performs amazingly but nobody has contacted me yet.

Am I being daft with the price? Is it not that desirable? Is my advert all wrong?

Heeeeelp!!

Thanks!

Looks about the right price maybe a bit high, the stripes could put people off as they're quite a personal touch, also the description says jcw aero bodykit but it only has the sideskirts as far as i can see. I love your car though im sure other people will like it as well maybe you need to advertise it in more places. Also I don't know if youve tried yet but the mini dealer sometimes give a good price for 2nd hand minis...

Ohhh a bug... If you open it, it looks like it was posted today but if you look at just the banner portion it shows 15 May.

Either way, the stripes are going to put a lot of people off as that is a preference thing. Not sure on the price for the UK, but it might be a little high. Basically I just said the same thing that Crammy said.

Thanks for the feedback.

It was last Thursday that I posted it although I did comment today, maybe that's the bug.

The stripes are a personal touch but most people I've met and spoken to love them!

I have no idea about the price but it is a stunning motor

My opinion of the stripes though is that, I think they are beautiful and really suit the colour of the car BUT... I wouldn't want them on *my* car. Maybe they are putting some people off. Then again, surely they could be removed very easily

Are the stripes removeable??

Some people could be put off if they were permanent, but with a little imagination, I'm sure they could visualise it without them

You don't have to remove them, just mention they are removeable, then a potential buyer can see through the stripes and see the car for what it could be

Agree with the majority the stripes need to come off to attract a wider market place.

Problem with this sort of price, is that it is a lot of money for a 2.5 year old car. People willing to spend this sort of money are quite likely to be thinking, "I wonder what I could get from new for the same money"?

My Mini is about 2 months older than yours and has virtually the same spec, in addition I have sun roof and sat nav, also only done 12.5k. I was offered £13k trade-in back in October last year. I wasn't actually asking for a trade in value, it was just in for a service.

I don't intend to sell mine for a while, as the milage is too low to justify the change and the money I would waste. But if I was, I think it would be very difficult to shift in the £14 -15k price bracket. The JCW kit also lowers your potential buyers, because they won't be able to get insured.

Best of luck though.

Haha! If I had the money I'd love to!

I can see beyond the stripes but I just think some people won't look outside the box unfortunately

If it's any help.....i've just bought an 05 Cooper S JCW with not as many options as yours, to be fair, but from a Mini dealer for £13300.
