Offline | Re - Works Conversion I took out a Works Cooper today for a demo. It had a K&N air filter, rear exhaust box and the works engine conversion. It had a wicked intake growl and exhaust note. It pulled strongly from low revs and was a blast to drive. I seriously want this kit. Also a note to the Cooper salesman, very polite, gave me the keys and said off you go, no hard sell or pushy selling. Made a nice change to my local Mini dealer who almost have trouble speaking to me when i go to the showroom ! ![]() |

Offline | Does anyone have any ideas of the extra insurance premium you'd pay with the conversion (obviously I understand that this depends on personal circumstances). From what I have read whilst the on paper figures e.g bhp gain don't amount to a great deal, then it does actually make a difference. Regards and thanks in advance Christopher |

Offline | Evo magazine had a "works" Cooper for a year - cost about £17K once spec'd up. anyway in this monthss magazine, they got rid of it after a year and 19,000 miles and they took a bath on it - only got £10k for it in p/x - they reckon it is not worth the extra and an S would be better value in the long run - check out www.evo.co.uk it should be somewhere in the fast fleet section GErry MINI Cooper, Chili Pack, Xenons, heated washers, MFSW, ASC+T, |
