Offline | Coming to America: John Cooper Works Pkg. According to this week's AutoWeek magazine, MINI has stated that a 200hp JCW package will be available in the US very soon for the MCS. The kit will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month (March). Customers will be able to buy the kit from dealers IMMEDIATELY after the US announcement in New York City in April. The kit will be factory-warranted. The kit will be installed at designated MINI installers or as a new-car option. This, you can get this on your new or used MCS. Info on the kit itself is at http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...&highlight=jcw . Offline | Not sure. The price in the UK is rumored to be GBP 3,500 - 3,700. At today's exchange rates that is a heavy-duty $5,675 - $6,000. Big cash! For my money, I'd do a chip, exhaust and pulley but.... Jason Jason Livingood | personal web site 2002 DS/W MINI Cooper S Thank you for signing my rear fog light petition. Offline | For the price difference, you could nearly blow an engine and replace it, or certainly a transmission. If you can even manage to find a junkyard whatever you break, you're doing ok... It seems like an insane amount of money if its a direct exchange from the UK price for a bit over 30 Hp... We all know how much an S costs over a cooper, and it includes a bunch more then just HP. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
