Thanks for the Autoweek link. The idea of upgrade versus new car option has been a question I am very interested in.

I have held off on my MCS build till April for various reasons. One, is that I'd like to get the Works package and car new out of the gate. I have raised the question in these forums and with my dealer about the possibility of a lower Works price if the equipment they were removing was new and reusable. NOt much in the way of positive responses. Obviously, an even better solution is for the "BMW approved" package to be offered as a new car option.

I am getting the sense from reading other threads that our brethren in the U.K. may have the ability to get the Works package without duplicating parts. If so, are you getting "stripped versions" sent from the assembly line to JCG? Again, if so, does this lower the price?

Interested in others information and thoughts.

Thanks, Norm
