Offline | New Works 'S' pictures Seen today outside JC garages, New Works 'S'. Believed owned by member of Cooper family, this is one of the first Works 'S' on the road. 200bhp, upgrade cost £3750. Straight from the horses mouth!! Picture quality poor as the sun was going down, sorry. Pictures are a pre-production run car, some changes may occur after launch. Didn't drive it but sounds good. |

| Sponsor,Moderator & Racer | I think we need to keep an eye on this type of thing - I obviously have a close and frequent contact with all at JCW and I can tell you there have been one or two occassions regarding photos that they have been VERY dis-pleased about MINI2 wont do itself any favours by posting so called 'spy' shots of Works cars HAving said that I havn't ever mentioned before because JCW have a login here and if they want to complain they know how to do it |

Offline | It's up to individuals what they want to post on here, if they post images of John Cooper Works cars, then that's between JCW and the individual, we have no favours from JCW, so I don't know why we should be any more careful with them than anyone else. I'm more than happy for BMW/MINI spy shots to be posted, in fact some our early scoops on the MINI from 'inside' sources where what helped this site get it's early reputation. So as for not doing ourselves any favours, I'm not sure what you mean, but they (JCW) certainly don't do us any favours! If they let photo's be taken, then they're almost certain to end up on here some way or another! ![]() |

Offline | JCW aren't the big wide world. Genuine photo's are good, fakes are bad. For example I would never go down the AutoExpress and Co. route of publishing regular fakes and photoshop jobs to hype up anything, but if people are happy to snap and share images, I'm more than happy for them to do so. I've had a lot of stuff over time I would never publish in the news or anywhere else because I have been told it's sensitive, but individuals who've not been told to publish photo's of things available to all to see, well I don't have an issue if they want to do this. |
