Hi,

I thought I might pass on information I heard from people I know who work for BMW.

They confirmed that a works kit has been fitted to several cars in Australia, and these cars are currently being tested in Melbourne to try an pass Aussie regulations (old news).

However, I heard some new (to me) information today.

Apparrently there was a scheduled training course planned for BMW techs to learn how to install the works kit, and this was to be held in mid march. This course has now been postponed. I am not sure if there is a new date.

Apparrently there is a noise level problem with the cars currently being tested, ie the exhaust is too loud. I am sure this is fixable, but hopefully not at the cost of performance.

However, everyone I spoke to seemed certain that the kit would happen, it may just take a little longer.

I am sure it will be worth the wait.
