Works Logo - dosn't 'wORK' for me - waddya think???

Does anyone agree with me that the JCW Works badge / logo looks a bit weak? Did they ask a graphic artist to WORK his imagunation on it - looks like they gave the job to the 14 year old tea boy...

I think he modelef the logo on a pack of Halls Cough sweets...

am I alone?

???

I could be wrong here but I don't think you're buying a works kit for the logos... that's why they make stickers.

If your using the WORKS features to their full extent you should be going too fast for anyone to see the logo

He is right though, it's looks pretty ........... sh*t

BTW Exactly why is it that they make stickers? I wouldn't make stickers of such a sh***y logo

On a more serious note, I really thinks it looks......sh*t (sorry I tried....)

Since when is that a bad thing?

KitKat Chunky rocks my world; only slightly less so than the thought of a Works Cooper S upgrade.

I agree... When I first saw it, I thought it was a temporary thing, but they stuck with it....
I know they want to make it different to the John Cooper sig and the Cooper laurel wreath that were used on the classic mini's (they probably had to )... but come on... There's better logos in the signatures on this board
I don't think it even works on the understated-is-the-new-cool kind of level either... It just looks kind of cheap and naff in my opinion.
Not that it stops me wanting the JCW conversion (the $7000 price tag does that ) but I might ask for a no-badge option.

I totally agree. Being a Graphic Designer with 9 years experience, i find it hard to belive that a brand such as JCW would have signed off such a poor logo, (very poor typography) after all it is one of the first points of contact with the buying public.

If i remember correctly, it was a Brighton based designer that JCW used.

Hey Tall Bloke! Good to see a professional agrees with me.

Also I am paying £3700 for this kit - I want to put an external badge on - surely for so much money I should deserve to get something decent - not something that looks awful and I'm ashamed of....

I mean it's not even subtle , or cool. on new edge , or retro - it's frankly rubbish.

Any JCW people reading this please take note and see how Scalextric do it! Remember that MINI is evocative and fun - please can you spend £500 to re-do this logo to make it the equal of your (undoubtably ) fine product.

Thanks - end of rant

And if you are reading this JCW, I would pitch for free for a job like this!
