Offline | John Cooper Works Review I just just came across this review of the JCW kit at www.4car.co.uk Sounds good, but not exactly what I had expected for the first review. Guess I still need to wait and see some comparisons against Hartge, Digi-Tec, etc................. I apologize if this has been posted already. Ciao! Offline | What can I say? Disappointing, from what I read you'll find the most increase in power in the (very) upper revs. I'm sure I made the right choice going with an independent aftermarket tuner, JCW is just too expensive and I'm also pretty sure you get a better package from am independent after market tuner performance wise. I hardly rev my MCS any higher than 5000 rpm, increase in torque in the 2500 - 5000 rpm is amazing Admittedly, I'm not a big JCW fan |

Offline | Base on the Dyno Chart, I would think that the drivability would be much better with such a broad torque curve. At 2400 rpm it is pulling 210 Nm which is the max torque the stock S gets at 4000 rpm. |

Offline | guess we'll really have to wait and see a direct comparison between jcw and other tuners... i would definitely go with jcw though cause u still have your bmw warranty and get A quality (new supercharger, z-head and so on...) ! mac |

Offline | what an odd review especially as I was under the impression there was a press embargo until Tuesday ?Anyway, I've been driving my JCW works S for X months now, and the difference between the standard S and Work S is huge. I do actually wonder if this person has driven the standard S at all ? I look forward to reading some reviews from some of the more ruputable magazines. Offline | ANOTHER JCW REVIEW And this time, from a reputable publisher. www.autoweek.com Sounds somewhat better, but still hasn't blown me away. I still want to hear something more definitive about the perfomance though. Owners reviews are good, but sometimes they appear biased or at least thats what I gather from all the debate on who's conversion is better. j |

Offline | Must say I'm a bit surprised by the price that is mentioned in the article. US$ 4500 (including fitting) doesn't sound too bad. Don't get me wrong, I still find it a lot of money, but it's substantially less than the prices I hear for continental Europe |

Offline | According to Macmini2 (who got the info from his dealer I believe) the price for the kit will be € 4.400 exclusive of fitting. Labour for fitting is estimated at € 700. Makes a total of € 5.100, pretty much I'd say |
