| MINI2 Regular | MPG from MCS Works Very interested in moving up to the MCS Works (saving hard at the mo!!) and was wondering what mpg I should expect to get from the car once the kit has been fitted. I have been keeping a log of my current fuel consumption and am averaging about 28mpg in mixed driving. I have read some reports where the average for the Works was as low as 24mpg and in hard driving could drop to 18mpg. Question to all you lucky Works owners - what mpg are you seeing from yours? |

| See you in my rear view!! | I am not sure of the exact figure but one word should sum it up...."few"!! I barely get 200 miles to the tank....but then I do tend to drive it hard.....c'mon....its a Works, you have to drive it hard!! 210bhp JCW MINI Cooper S (S950) |

| Gutter Princess | I'm averaging between 26.6 and 27.1 at the moment.... the Works is meant to be more economical than a standard S I've been told... sounds like you're doing pretty well! I think the consumption will improve marginally once she's run in (another 700 miles..). I got 225 out of my tank at the weekend - a combination of motorway, London and country roads. I'm being careful with her, but not that careful! ![]() |

Offline | I think that the WKS S might be more ecomomical on paper but it is sooooo much fun that you drive it like a nutter and it drinks gas. At 56mph in 6th its porbably very frugal but I suspect mine never sees that situation! ![]() WhatCar? Claim: “As hot hatches go, it’s hotter than a blacksmith’s armpit.” |

Offline | Over the life of mine (now 13000 miles) I've got 27 mpg. However it varies depending on the type of driving as you'd expect. Last month I've done a lot of motorway driving and got about 31 mpg. Hope this helps |

Offline | My Cooper S averages 32-33 mpg. On one 200-300 mile trip, I got 37 mpg traveling 70-80 mph. On the way back, it was down to 34 but that was going 80-85+ the whole way. |

Offline | My Cooper S JCW is still being run in but I am lucky to average much better than 24 - 25 MPG..... I hear they tend to get better with mileage but it's never going to fall into the economical bracket!! |
