I asked my dealer recently to update my Works S to V 36 Software but they did not have any clue how to. Nor have BMW/Mini Netherlands

I also have emailed John Cooper Garages a week ago but still no answer so that's also very dissapointing

Problem seems to be with motornumbers to be entered:

Problem:

"stumble" effect (first gear)


Current situation:

1) The basic motor DME number as standard in a MCS is: 7527610
2) With the Works update a new (current) number 7528434 was entered.
3) The car has now this number 7528434


Question:

What is the exact procedure regarding entering the required numbers to update my MCS Works to V 36 and to get rid of the "stumble" effect ? (i.e. which exact numbers have to be entered to update)

Note: My dealer is not sure if they can fulfill with starting remapping with nr 7527610 and than updating to nr 7528434 again or is a new number necessary to have the MCS updated to Works afterwards ?


Any detailed solution would be appreciated.
