Offline | MCS Works running in time works kit was fitted on Monday with instructions to run in at 4500rpm max for 1250 miles. As it was fitted to my current car which has done 8500 miles is this really necessary or is this official run in only for brand new MCS Works cars?I have put 450 on it going down to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend but keeping it within the 4500rpm limit is proving a little frustrating. Any knowledge out there ![]() [ MCS Works, Eibachs, EBC Greenstuff Discs and Pads, Whalen Shift Machine, Toyo Proxes T1-R's Hold on Tight |

Offline | On an MCS which has been previously broken in you only need to take it easy for a few 100 miles after fitting the Works Kit: http://www.mini.com/livechat/ No need for further frustration ![]() |

Offline | Thanks. Why don't they tell you that? I thought that 1250 miles seemed a bit excessive but I've been trying to be careful (without 100% success!) since my conversion was done 800 miles ago. MCS JCW CR/CR ; MOD LY/B |
