MCC CVT and John Cooper Works...

Quick question - I think I already know the answer...

John Cooper Works on a Cooper Convertible with CVT transmission - is this possible, and if so, what sort of power increase can be expected?

My Cooper Convertible CVT arrives November. My question was more - can you get a Works kit for the CVT and if you can what sort of power increase do you get, ie, is it worth it?

England JCW and CVT

Tried that earlier this year. JC were very pleasant but said there was no interest in a kit for the CVT and thus they don't make one. This was May'04 and things may have moved on.
For more power in CVT cars, try the AMD threads on this site.AMD themsleves told me that any extra power would be absorbed in the transmission so, while they would happily sell me a kit, it wouldn't make much difference. Test reports on this site seem to prove they are correct!
I use a Viper induction kit and it seems to help, without mucking up warranty/TLC.
I have a CT MCC arriving in the spring and I am hoping (without much conviction) that a MCS CVT will be available in 2005.
Regards
