Offline | Has anyone had word on the Works Kit for the S or any other kits to get it going a bit quicker? Price? Dumped my 7 month old 02 WRX, in favor of the S but may need more speed I'm getting an EB S in two weeks (Sydney) apparently the delays on delivery are due to bad color matching on rear spoiler, they've had the cars here for some time already, does anyone know more about this? Offline | Re: S Works Kit Huh? I was told the pre-spec cars arrive in Australia on 24th June, and will take 1-2 weeks to clear custom and dealer delivery will begin after that. The cars have a build date of 22 April according to the Mini Australia rep who was at the Calder drive day I went to. Also confirmed that glove box cannot be retro fitted to our cars. Like you, I am also coming from a more powerful car (2001 Audi TT Quattro) so I cannot wait for the works kit. I do hear rumours that BMW Australia might not bring the kit in, but will instead bring 50 cars in with the kit already. I will be very black if that happens. I bought the car with the understanding that we can retrofit the works kit. Let's keep our fingers crossed. |

Offline | Yeah, that works kit sounds great...looking foward to it! The power is definitely not as exciting as the WRX but at least the mini is not as ugly...(did I say that out loud?) I'm joking of course. Before I got my Mini Cooper S I had experience with both the WRX and S2000. 200+ hp could really spice things up for the Mini! ![]() Chili Red S Borla exhaust Madness Intake 16x7 Rota Circuit 8 Falken Azenis |

Offline | Yes no doubt about it the new WRX is ugly, for me that wasn't really the issue. I had the previous model (wagon) before the 02 & it was considered ugly at the time.. thing was it went like a bullet. The WRX02 was just plain sluggish off the line & useless in the city cut & thrust. To move of the line it was either 6000rpm dump the clutch (fun) ruin the car OR bog down & watch the others cars go bye! I hope the Cooper S will move of the line quick enough... Whatever it does it'll look good doing it ![]() SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS |
