Thanks for the reply Chris, will have to leave that for a while as I never knew a steering wheel would a) cost so much and b) take so long to fit!!

Do you know why Mini (or JCW) price all their accessories quite highly?

BMW/MINI always make sure that every part or accessory is of the highest quality, every accessory is subject to months of tests before we even have them released for the dealers to sell on to you,our customers, that way we know when you order a genuine part or accessory for your MINI it will fit and perform 100% and everything i supply is backed up by BMW and supplied with a full warranty if needed

Chris,

Alcantara R53 wheels plus multifunction retrofit kit would be how much?

Also, would this require recoding?

Hi Mike,
The jcw alcantara wheel and m/f kit would cost 420 inc vat ,this includes a new clutch slave cylinder as you need a different one to opperate the cruise control system, fitting this kit is a big job it would take around ten hours to fit this would be 800 extra inc vat

Chris,

I've no cruise control (and don't drive anywhere in the Mini that needs it).

Does the retrofit kit include a new slip ring, or could I just fit the switches and wheel loom (plus wheel) to my existing slip ring?

Hi Mike,
Everything is linked together and you can't fit just half of the m/f kit

Im still tempted. Thought about a D.I.Y install but if you will still do it for £30 its worth the pro's doing it.

Wheel £200 + £30 fitting???
