Thanks for the enquiry, your can't buy a space saver rim for cars with the
Brembo brakes fitted so all you can do is either a compressor and a bottle of tyre weld, the only other option would be to carry a 17 inch crown spoke or flame spoke wheel anf tyre in the boot,
Cheers

The rear disc on the JCW retrofit is 280mm dia. The front disc on a clubman diesel is 280 mm
On an S the front is 294 mm I believe. The front caliper on both is bigger than the rear caliper or at least the same size, so if a space saver will fit on the front of an S or clubman diesel then why would it not fit on the rear of the JCW retrofit setup????

All it would mean is when you get a puncture on the front, you would have to transfer a rear to the front then fit the spacesaver to the rear. Unless of course there is a scientic reason why the spacesaver will not fit the rear.

I suspect the only real way is to physically try

You are spot on, the only reason they don't list a space saver for the works is the big front brakes and the centre exahust so you would need to swop and change wheels around if you picked up a puncture on the front,it would be a bit of work at the side of the road in the rain but not a problem,if you did go for the space saver wheel and tyre it would be £93.00 inc vat,
cheers

Hi guys.
Just a little update on space saver wheel fitment with JCW 4pot BBK.

I have recently fitted these to my Clubman D
I have the spacesaver spare which fitted the standard brakes.
After fitting the JCW BBK I found that the spacesaver would NOT fit on the rear without catching the caliper.
For some reason it is bigger than the standard front caliper fitted to the D, although the disc size is the same

Anyway after some lateral thinking I made up a mock spacer of 20mm thickness and tried this on the rear wheel. BINGO the wheel now turns without catching

So it appears that if you want the JCW BBK 4 pots and want to carry a space saver instead of the GOO you need a 20 mm spacer and some longer bolts.
This solution should apply all R56/55 minis.
Also remember it is only a get you out of the S*&^T solution and NOYT for traveling long distances
(These are my findings but cannot be held responsible for any problems you may find)

Hope this helps

Thank you RVW for this information, it's a shame it doesn't fit without spacer...

That "for some reason" is called a fixed mount, mulit piston caliper vs a floater....that's what make it a different animal to begin with!

Why don't you put the spare on the rear....and the rear wheel on the front if you have a flat?

Hello Chris,

Can you confirm the Front Brakes are still in stock, if so are they still £165.00 delivered?

Also, would they fit the 17" JCW Cross Spoke Challenge or would they require the 5mm wheel spacers?

Thanks.

Hello Chris,
By any chance can you provide the discs and brake pads seperately?
I've got the big brake conversion on my clubbie JCW 4 pot with 316mmX2Omm and rear 280mmx10mm.
By the way Shipping to Portugal.

How much would this cost me?
Rgds
