New Wheels. Best way to treat before fitting.

As my new wheels have taken residence in my living room, I am thinking of fitting them this weekend. This will provide me with the three fold benefit of more pleasant conversations with Mrs. Convoluted, lighter wheels with Toyo Proxes 4s, and, I'll save my s-lite/runflat combo for the really nasty winter months. That said, the wheels are G-racing seki, hyper black. (I'm guessing painted w/ clearcoat. )

What is the best way to protect new wheels? I was considering a few coats of Mequiars(sp) NXT and calling it done, but wouldn't heat from the wheel just melt the wax off? The main goal is to make them as easy to clean as possible.

So, uhh, what's the best wax for wheels?

thx.

I like to use a sealant like Klasse All In One then add Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze.

I have been cruising the Autotopia site. See a bunch of stuff that would be nice to have, and it looks like the Klasse fit the bill. It's good at keeping the brake dust from baking on? I may have to place an order.

btw: thx for the reply.

If you apply the Klasse twins,(AIO and SG) Usually the brake dust can be washed off with regular car shampoo. That way you dont need a dedicated wheel cleaner!!

decocarcare.
