Offline | Removing wax stains from the black plastic trim I did a search yet suspect that I'm not the only person with wax stains on their black body trim - around the wheel wells, for example. I have a 2005 MCS HBB/B. What's your recommendation for a product that will restore the trim back to BLACK but yet will NOT result in long term staining of the trim; i.e., you end up having to put the black "restorer" stuff (like Armor All) on all the time to maintain that nice dark shade. I'd rather not use Armor All - I just want to get rid of the WAX STAINS. Thanks all, Dave PS - I LOVE my MINI! Best car I've ever driven. ![]() You elected him, you deserve him. |

Offline | I use autoglym bumper care, works like a treat. It's not a back to black stain, rather just an oil based wax remover. I've also heard peanut oil will work too (as used for chinese cookin). |

| MINI2 Master | I too would recommend Autoglym Bumper Care. -edit whoops...looks like they stopped carrying that. It has been replaced with Sonus Tire & Bumper Dressing Gel which is next on my list to try. Peanut oil will also do it but of course leaves things oily. 303 Aerospace Protectant should also do the trick among its many other uses. |
