Lot Rot

My '03 S has been sidelined with major body damage from an accident (NOT MY FAULT!!!) on September 1st.

It 'might' be ready next week, according to the repair shop.

I'm having grave doubts about whether to continue driving it again after it's sat idle for two months or more. What's the consensus opinion on potential for internal rust and/or corrosion on $$$ assemblies (transmission, supercharger, engine block and head) that could fail soon after I get it back on the road?

Understand I MOTOR about 30k annually; when it got transported to the repair shop it had 92k on the clock, two months shy of it's delivery's 3rd anniversary date.

Just check the battery. It should make no difference where the car sits, at home or at the shop. Sorry about the accident.
