I have gone through a set of front Pirelli 3000s 175/65/15s in 8000 miles.
This is not unusual I hear.
Obviosly driver style is a major factor but my OTHER car a Porsche 911 gets over 10/12000 on the rears.
The other sinister factor is that the wear is in the centre of the tyre and I run at reg checked manufacturers press ie 30-32 psi.

If you are wearing the inside of the tire first, it usually indicates over-inflation.
I would try running at lower pressures.
Try 28psi. Measure and record tread depth on inside, center, outside. Drive for a month, compare tread depth, adjust pressure as necessary.

Note: if you have more negative camber, the inside will wear faster and will make the above method less useful.

8000 miles is short, but these tires are very narrow and are subjected to a lot of force.

I would get wider tires.
