I have fitted ebc discs and green stuff pads which are much better at dealing with heat from the occasional track day. I have also fitted braided hoses and 5.1 brake fluid. The combination is excellent and a lot cheaper than going for a big brake kit. An in teresting compromise. If you only want to fit replacement discs and pads run alond to BMW and get them to fit them on the TLC plan.

Oh don't they? I never dared go near the dealer with mine as I got through my first set in about 2500 miles

If I was looking for a set I would sign up to be a Privilege Member, and start a wanted thread in the For Sale section

As there are a few of us that have had our brakes changed to the JCW, which then means we have a full set of standard pads and front discs and calipers sitting in our garden sheds

Front EBC pads (better for stopping brake fade) £50

EBC discs around £100? (these are venteed and grooved etc for better cooling and stopping power...plus they are zinc coated so they look shiney not rusty like standard ones )

Not much more than the BMW ones (plus if they are not covered by warrenty, nor are the discs...then why bother with rubbish when for the same money you can get better ones )
