Rakey my friend, you know it'll take me 12 months to figure out how to post a pic!!

It's basically light scuffing from a carwash.

HI..
Either I'm going blind or the A pillar covers are plastic - and they scratch way too easily.
I use Mothers Plastic Polish on mine and works a treat, I also have Scratch X and am sure it would also do a good job.
Cheers, Geoff.

Cheers, Geoff.

A-panel or A-pillar refers to the panel just in front of the door shaped like the outline of the letter A, well it was more on the mini, which is what it was called on there

I thought the A-Pillar referred to the front upright adjacent to the windscreen
..the B-Pillar - that between the Drivers & Rear Passengers Window
..the C-Pillar - the ones next to the rear windscreen

thats called an A-cover

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...& hg=51&fg=20

The panel that I could an A-panel, isn't offically called this, but it is what it was called on the mini, so kind of stuck with me and few other people I know, thats how I figured out what Spotty was referring to when he said it was a painted part

all the offical BMW names on that link if you want them all

I`ll have to differ with you here, In general motoring terms, The A B & C Pillars are the names applied to the structural members between body & roof from the front to the back.

The A-Cover you refer to, is the plastic cover mounted on top of the A-Pillar

I didnt know this previously, but you can also have D pillars as well on some cars

See >> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-pillar

I do get swirl marks on my plastic a-pillars/a-pillar trims/covers!

Standard AutoGlym Super Resin Polish sorts them while im doing the rest of the car.

Or if you are really lazy, go and buy new ones
