Shopping trolley dent

Hi Guys,

Some little ba ard has put a dent in the rear panel of my S. Being blue it sticks out quite a bit.

Is there a way this can be removed, I hate things being wrong with the car. It's half way between the door and wheelarch and looks awful.

Thanks for the help.

Richard.

Try someone like Dent Wizard, at least ask them and see if it can be fixed with the paintless dent removal system before taking it to a body shop.

Hi Richard,

That is soooooo annoying, I keep my S away from all car parks with shopping trolley's at all costs. Try Chips Away or Dentwizard if there is no paint damage although I think Chips Away will do localised paint repairs as well. Not sure if it double skinned where its dented but worth a try and will be cheaper than the dealer who will probably use Dentwizard anyways and charge you double.

Hope you get it sorted,

Tim

Has anyone had any experience with either of these companies? And a rough idea of cost?

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Try doing a search on here for dents, I know many on here have had good results with Chips Away etc, not sure about costs but I think less than a hundred, I think they charge per panel, but I guess if it's just the one dent I would say £70 or so. Cheaper than BMW.

Good luck

Exact same thing just happened to our MCS (sounds like a similar impact position too). Even though there was no actual paint damage, just a crease, Dent Wizard couldn't fix it. We ended up taking it to a reputable bodyshop..........total cost $527; around 310 quid. A real bummer

Hi Guys,

Well, I decided to book the car into the BMW Body Shop to be sorted out. I called Dent Wizard and they didn't sound too optimistic when I told them it was a MINI.

Sytner Sheffield use a company called Dent Devil, and they've done an amazing job... you just can't see where the dent was. And it only cost £58.

Excellent service from both Sytner and Dent Devil
