DIY Chrome Polish

Any advice on what is the best chrome polish to use on the Mrs' new Cooper? I think the Autoglym chrome polish is for use on metal only and advises against using it on chrome covered plastic.

Thanks a lot and here is a pic of the new Cooper convertible:

Cheers

Pete

I use old fashioned AUTOSOL, its been around for ages, I remember stacking it on the shelves at work when I started with Halfords in 1988, but it is very mild and suitable for plastic chrome, and does a good job with minimal effort, plus it is relatively inexpensive!

For the rest of the car I use AUTOGLYM, so price isnt an object for me when it comes to looking after MINI, but quality is!

just use a polish cloth or a cloth u use to clean glasses. i have loads of chrome on my car and that does the trick nicely inside and out and u dont have to worry about putting chemicals on that may ruin it. give it a go!

I use autoglym glass polish on my chrome bits, sounds weird but it works.

I wouldn't recommend any polish other than maybe a plastic trim cleaner, as if an abrasive (which most metal chrome cleaners are) is used on plastic chrome it will dull it down and remove the finish

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?
