| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | You can wax immediately after you've got your car as the paint is cured in an oven. You might want to give it a polish before applying the NXT to remove any minor swirls the car may have got. After the NXT I recommend applying a carnauba wax. Offline | i thought the NXt was a wax. don't i just do this. 1) Wash with NXT stuff (microfibre cloths for washing and drying using two bucket method) 2) Polish with Quick CLay or Scratch X 3) Paint Polisher #1 4) Polisher #2 5) Wax with NXT Tech Wax (by hand) or maybe Gold Class Wax Paste (two coats) 6) MXT spray wax to maintain between washes or quik details using all Meguairs products... |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | There'scertainly nothing wrong with your method. You wont need to polish everytime. Just wash and apply another layer of NXT. NXT is technically a cleaner wax, although it's cleaners are very very mild. A lot of people use NXT topped with Poorboys Nattys Blue for Red's, Blues and Blacks. The NXT gives a very reflective finish and I find it doesn't offer much long lasting protection. The Nattys helps create a deeper shine and can be spit shined for even better results and longer lasting finish. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Online | Interesting. I didn't know that NXT was a cleaner wax. I use it or a Turtle Wax one (can't remember which) after cleaning, usually end up doing it every 2-3 washes, which is every fortnight or so, but as I actually enjoy getting it all shiny, I don't mind doing it that often ![]() |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Yeah as your car is DS a reflective finish generally works well as you don't get much depth to silver paint. I reckon some NXT followed by some Nattys will give you a brilliant finish and the Nattys is more durable to hold that NXT shine in ![]() ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Online | Was actually looking at the Natty's stuff before lunch there, think I might go for some of that Reckon NXT and then Nattys? Is the Natty's as easy to use as the Meguiar's NXT stuff? I'm all for the easy stuff too ![]() |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | With the NXT you want to allow it to dry for an hour before wiping off. With the Nattys you want to apply to one panel then wipe off immediately. If it dries it's bit of a bugger to get off. Or you can spit shine it with distilled water to achieve a deeper shine and two layers of wax just like on army boots Put water in a spray bottle. Apply wax to one panel and spray a mist of water over it. Work more wax onto panel until the water has dried and buff off. You can do the whole car before you return to the first panel if you like but you risk the panels getting dried out if it's warm or sunny. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Online | Aye, I'd tend to put a layer of NXT on the whole car before buffing it off, seems to work well ![]() Think I'll have to order a tub of this Nattys stuff, keep me quiet for a while ![]() |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Sounds like good products to me. Could try NXT Tech Wax before the Nattys. For any bad swirls try Scratch X. You don't want to be using the #9 polish every wash though as it's abrasive. Get the finish good with the polish, seal it with the NXT Wax and protect with the Nattys. Then just top up the Nattys every wash. Use the swirl removers when swirls become evident. Are you using the two bucket method? ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | Yea, that was basically the plan - I do use the two bucket method, although I figured it just made sense to - one bucket's like taking a bath - you're just cleaning yourself in dirty water! |

Offline | if the decals are put on by the dealer they're good to go. but if aftermarket they're not. but you should be careful of wax/polish drying on the edges and ****. that's no good. but what i've learned is after i wax me car, to put on a coat of #21 Meguairs and WOW!!! |
