Question What do you use to polish the chrome bits???

I looked at chrome polish but it says to use it on chrome on metal only and not on chromed plastics.

I think the chrome front grill is actually a plastic... So what do you use to clean the chrome grill?

How about the S fuel cap, and switches, etc???

Help???

Mother's Plastic Polish. All the 'chrome' is plastic anyways. Works quite well. You can also use it on your plastic lenses, and exterior A-Pillars. Wonderful stuff.

Wouldn't the wax I use on the car be just as good?

Most fun on 4 wheels.

Actually, the plastic polish is better. It specifically works very well on dark or black plastic, including the little raised part numbers they print on them. It works well on clear plastic without distorting the lens, and polishes and protects specifically plastic parts.

Just try it on an old tail lamp, with all the swirls. Amazing stuff. Removes swirls, and fills in scratches.

Any car wax will do. As the chrome on cars are relatively thin, it's better to do as much as you can to prevent them from pitting. In my experience with cars, chrome with horizontal surfaces are especially susceptible to long term pitting.

For more detailed info - ask monsta what he uses to buff his chrome bits and legendary chrome pants.

I use 'Peek' - I got it from Halfords, says you can use it on plastic chrome too

The trick is not to leave it on too long and then give it a good hard buff
