Best Battery Replacement?

Hi all,

Has anyone replaced their battery recently? and if so did you go for a MINI replacement or an aftermarket? Looks like mine on my S is getting onto it's last legs now so just wondering if a aftermarket battery would be better performer and value for money than the standard BMW battery.

Does anyone have a price for the BMW battery please, sounds daft but in some ways I would like to keep the MINI as original as possible

Thanks for your help

i recently changed my battery. i bought it at my local autozone for 80 american dollars. they had a computer where you just insert the year and model of the car and they tell you which one to buy. and installing it was very easy. and the batter worked great.

ive noticed that your from england. autozone is basically the walmart/target of car parts.

shokeyz,

By any change do the newer MCS' have a special hose attached to the battery to vent out exhaust gases? If so, do the "aftermarket replacements" have an attachment point for this hose? I know my 2003 has this hose and the MINI battery has a special attachment point for it. I wouldn't want to get a replacement and then find out the exhaust gases are being trapped in my car!

Thank you.
