England Cleaning my mini

Ive seen the flash car cleaning kit in the supermarket a few times and now im wondering would if be worth it to clean the car with or could the product actually harm my paint. At the moment im using a bucket and sponge with my hose. Also my paint is the perlescant paint so any body have any clues if its worth it other wise whats the best way for me to wash it. Also what product is best used on chrome for the grills?

From what I hear the Flash car cleaning kit is pretty good, as it don't leave no smears-Personally a good ol tub of Turtle wax car shampoo does me, this will also clean your chrome plated grills as well.
Remember to wax the car though on a good clean dry day

The sponge is whats harming your paintwork there! use a lambswool wash mitt or similar and 2 buckets for washing!

I have bought from polishbliss. If its a new Mini i'd take on board what the guides say, watch out for swirl marks that you may be adding by your washing.

AAAHHHH SPONGE?!...... on a NEW MINI??!!! :P

As said mate.... sack the sponge. To clean your car properly without damaging the paint (which unfortunately you will already have doen so when washing with a sponge) you need 2 buckets: (one for the water with shampoo and one for clean water to rinse the mitt before putting ti in the soapy bucket). Its also best if you have grit guards in the buckets.

You havent mentioned drying but if you do make sure you dont use a leather chamois or the likes. Use a dedicated drying towel. I use a poorboys waffle weave and its great. Also.. always dry the car byu "patting" it down.

Don't bother washing it.

It'll only get dirty again
