| MINI2 Newbie | ~$400 I recall About $400 I recall from 2 years ago. Worth it if you have a good dealer and need brakes by 50K, which is certain unless you rarely use your breaks. I am trying to extend to 6yr/100k... but the letter from my dealer inviting me to do so is now given a "we cannot offer that until June"! Be well. |

Offline | Now MINI offers an extension of the 3 year/36K mile free scheduled maintenance to 6 years/100K miles whichever occurs first. I purchased the plan yesterday for $1,395 plus tax from my local MINI dealer. Now my '05 R53 MCS has its full maintenance prepaid with MINI until March 2014 or when the car reaches 100K miles, whichever occurs first. This is a fantastic deal. Anyone considering keeping their MINI for a long time, this sponsored MINIUSA service plan is a must! 100% Free of French parts |

Offline | I just purchased it with my new Mini. It seemed like a good deal. (Why I bought it now if I could have waited 3 years and got it - I am not sure) My question though - is if maintenance is all based on mileage, while I lose out if I only drive 10000 a year? |

| MINI2 Newbie | 6 years from original purchase is all I could get Hello all. I think you will lose out as it is x Yr/y miles, whichever comes first. I wish I has OttoManS's deal. I agree that is a steal. I was offered 6yr/100k from Feb 2002, giving me 18 months for $1200. No deal. Anyone else get 6 year/100k on top of the age and mileage of the car at signing?!?!? love the car regardless, now just have to figure out how to fix it myself... -cd |
