A Weekend of Detail....

Well I spent 3-4 hours yesterday evening and a further 2 hours this morning on our new convertible...just wanted to go over every inch of the car, inside and out, plus give a bit more protection than it came with.

I am guessing that you used Meguiars products?

Lovely! Congrats! Very shiny! What did you use?

I must have spent over 8 hours on two MINIs this weekend and neither belong to me! Phew!

What did I use...well.....

1) Meguiars Gold Class wash, dried with water magnet/Meguiars quick detailer
2) Meguiars Gold Class wax
3) Meguiars NXT Tech wax (on top of Gold Class)
4) Meguiars trim detailer (on black arches, etc)
5) Auto Glym fast glass on all windows
6) Auto Glym tyre treatment
7) Gold Class wax on the wheels
8) Auto Glym soft-top cleaner/proofer

Beautiful! Sounds very much like my routine! However I use Meguiars NXT Shampoo instead - good stuff, never used the gold class. I also need to use the clay to get rid of the stuck on tar and sap as the owners (parents and friend) don't do a complete wash as often as I would do.

Looks very

I know some on here don't agree but for me a cleaned and polished flat colour - especially CR - looks better than any of the metallic colours. So much more depth to the shine. And its so rewarding to do!

I agree too, but we wanted black and it only comes as a metallic.
