| I'm avin 'oops | From the FAQ page FAQ's Q1 Exactly what is DRI WASH 'n GUARD®? A DRI WASH N GUARD® is a combination car wash, polish and protective glaze which is applied directly to a dirty surface without the use of water, it contains no waxes, nor is it simply a polish. Waxes do a good job of "protecting" but often leave the paint dull. Polishes are great at removing minor stains and blemishes, and are much more capable of rejuvenating dull paint. But polishes often are abrasive, and provide very little protection on the paint surface. Paint sealants protect very well, but cannot clean or polish- a vehicle's paint must be virtually pristine before the sealants can be applied. DRI WASH 'n GUARD® combines the best features of waxes, polishes and paint sealants without any of the drawbacks. Q2 Why is it possible to apply DRI WASH 'n GUARD® over a dirty surface? A DRI WASH 'n GUARD® contains 47 ingredients, including wetting agents, lubricants and protectants which have never been used by the car care industry. The detergents and wetting agents in DRI WASH 'n GUARD® combine to soften and emulsify surface grime, while a specific blend of polymeroxane fluids and hydrophenolic lubricants attach a microscopic layer of exclusive PolyGuard-3® to the surface. PolyGuard-3® is an extremely rare (and expensive) substance which provides a bonded layer of protection against any remaining abrasive not broken down by the detergents and wetting agents. Q3 What are the benefits of DRI WASH 'n GUARD® on glass, and are there any precautions to its use? A There is no other product for use on glass which will give the brilliant clarity of DRI WASH 'n GUARD®. The glass will seem to disappear. The product also makes a glass surface smoother, or slippery, so that water runs off a windshield without a trace. This "slick" surface also means that insects, bird droppings and tree sap can be removed effortlessly. In winter, windshields and outside mirrors protected by DRI WASH 'n GUARD® are more easily cleared of snow and ice. Q4 Can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be applied over other waxes and polishes? A Yes. It will cut through any wax or polish and leave a brilliant, bonded layer of protection. Q5 How soon can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be applied to a repainted vehicle? A Both the paint industry and the automobile industry generally endorse a 90-day waiting period for newly painted vehicles, during which time thinning solvents evaporate from the paint, allowing it to cure. Enviro-Tech International endorses that industry standard. Q6 Does DRI WASH 'n GUARD® help to protect against ultraviolet (UV) radiation? A Yes, thanks to two special ingredients which help screen UV rays. But there is nothing that can totally protect a surface from exposure to the sun. Just as sunscreens cannot entirely protect the skin from burning, UV- blockers cannot fully protect painted surfaces from chemically decomposing over time. Q7 Can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® remove scratches? A Yes, if they are minor, light scratches. It will eliminate the tiny "feather" scratches caused by many car wash brushes. The product does not contain any ingredients which can fill deeper, more serious scratches. ----- Price wise doesnt seem to bad BUT I don't want to be the fisrt to try it on my brand mew MCS ![]() More Air + More Fuel = More Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Online | Interesting.... I wonder if they offer these services up near Glasgow? I can't find any information on where they're based - so don't know if they service the entire UK or not. Anyone here know? All the best, Andrew. NeuroBeaker - Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 MINI ONE). *WARNING!* Thesis writing in progress. Experiments continue. Multi-tasking? Offline | This is only available on the Internet (US Company) but is considered the best of it's kind for DIY Optimum No Rinse (ONR) Rinse less wash): ONR is an almost waterless wash formulated with surfactants to keep dirt in suspension, avoiding surface contact, it also provides surface lubrication, thereby avoiding surface marring. Use a Monster Fluffy micro fibre towel for washing. Take one towel and wet it with ONR mixed as per directions. Wring it out and make a single pass per clean side of the towel. You can get 4-8 passes, with the towel folded in quarters. Each pass is then done with a perfectly clean towel surface and you're never rinsing any dirt out and releasing it in to your wash or rinse water. You can do the whole car with 2-4 towels. Apply no pressure to the towel. I just glide it over the surface and only make one pass in one direction with a clean surface. If you use the two bucket method (one fitted with a grit guard) which highly recommended with this type of product, the wash solution will stay clean enough to be reusable as a pre-soak solution or for cleaning wheel surfaces. ONR is formulated to ensure that dirt particles won’t mix with the solution but fall to the bottom of the bucket. There in no need to rinse afterwards with ONR, but if you feel you must, please ensure that the water goes to a sewer and not a storm drain; either way the lubricating polymers in the No Rinse do a better job of protecting the finish than conventional car soap. Use in tandem with Optimum Spray Wax for a ‘just waxed’ look If you use the two bucket method (one fitted with a grit guard) the wash solution will stay clean enough to be reusable. ONR is formulated to ensure that dirt particles won’t mix with the solution but fall to the bottom of the bucket. Offline | Well if polishes are abrasive, then what is the action of something applied directly to the dirty (gritty etc) surface of a car and then swirled about going to do LOLSounds like a gimick that will be no better, but possibly not much worse than any other method washing...but cost loads more. |

Offline | I'm not saying that the swirls would not then be removed through the polishes etc they use but certainly the reasoning of not using proper polishes etc because they are abrasive seems odd when what they will do is use the dirt to abrade things??? Just seems wierd. |

Online | Well, I received a response from NWCC. It would seem that they currently only offer services in the South East of the UK. Their completely unmodified response is copied (for your enjoyment) below: So I guess it'll have to be down to someone else to investigate whether or not this actually works then. Pity, I was looking forward to seeing the end result. Ah well. All the best, Andrew. NeuroBeaker - Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 MINI ONE). *WARNING!* Thesis writing in progress.
