Well I went back and had a look today and it has expired but the previous owner didnt even get the first inspection done only the first voucher is gone out of the book. I wish that I could get the inspections etc done on it just for piece of mind. It also seems like a bit of a waste for the previous owner to have it and not use it (or maybe they don't value coupons as highly as I do given that I am a student!!!) Thanks for your help anyway mate.

You need to check with the dealer if it has had it's 1st Inspection done, I still have the vouchers in my TLC book, it's on the system if the Car has TLC or not and the dealer don't always tear the vouchers out, has it been stamped in your book on having the 1st inspection done?

Yea, you need to check its been done, if serviced at the main dealer, it should be recorded whats been done to the car on their system. I'm going in for 1st brake fluid change tomorrow - only remembered because I pressed my Trip button to re-set the mileage after filling up with derv, and it was flashing -40 days for the brake fluid service. I thought a clock was supposed to flash up (To make it idiot proof) on the ODO when its due for brake fluid? Any experience of that folks?

Thats what I thought should happen Si, but as mentioned above, it only flashes & tells you how many days your overdue when you press the trip button whilst the service countdown is showing on 'startup'. I seem to remember an old work colleagues MINI One showing just the clock symbol when it was due for brake fluid change, and my manual seems to support that this should happen, but not on mine! ![]() *Sorry for interrupting*

Not sure if its relevant to this thread, but got the MINI booked in for a service, I was told that it was still in TLC when purchased last septemeber, so hope it is (but thats another matter and one I will check in the book) .....anyway my question is......would you leave an aftermarket induction kit in for a service or swap it back for the standard air box? Common sense says it should go back to standard so they cant moan about anything, but then again why should it matter, I hope I'm just worried about nothing!

Nice one, will do, I know from past experience its just oil and pollen filter, I was just a bit worried about voiding any warranties etc.... Really glad it’s booked in though, the oil is black as anything and I have been itching to do it myself for ages. Don’t think I will bother with TLC XL, will just do any future services myself, as and when they are warranted, never had any problems on previous cars.
