TLC Millage...

Hi, need some advice....

My mini is due it 40,000 mile oil service, so i have booked it in.
when i booked it in it still had 100 miles to go, so when they said it would be three weeks before they could do it, i thought that would be fine.

Unfortunatly, due to some family problems, i have had to go up to scotland last weekend, meaning the reading is now -600. So, by the time the time i hit the booked service date, it will be about -13,000.

What should i do? im sure they said the service has to be done before it says -1000.

HELP!

Neil

With only 100 miles to go your dealer should have carried out the service when you took it in originally.

The 1,000 mile 'tolerance' works both ways.

Don't worry, they will service it under your TLC package anyway.

Hi scrogg, thanks for your reply.

I unfotunatly booked it in over the phone, i think i should have done it earlier!

So, are you saying they should still do the service under the TLC? even if it goes over the -1000 mark? (around the -13,000 mark??)

i just dont want to be left with a bill, and no waranty!

Cheers

the TLC will cover it. I had a bit of an argument with my dealer about TLC and milage last week. To be honest, providing you dont go over 50k then they will honour the TLC servicing. you go 0.1mile past 50K and they dont want to know, so be careful to book it in before 50k for its last service next time, even though the service indicator wont have come on!!

If your dealer won't do the service under TLC there are plenty that will, so you have nothing to worry about on that score.

Similarly, don't worry about your warranty being at risk, as your records will show this is the first service that has been carried out a little late.

Well, ive just been on the phone with the dealer.... and the service limits have now been changed! the limits are now within 1000 miles, and up to -3000 after.

So no problem at all for me!

Thanks again to scrogg and Meeerrrk.
