2002 Mini cooper

Alright Folks,

I have recently bought a 2002 cooper and have started making a few mods.
Can anyone advise on the best mods for improved performance.

Cheers

Ron

What Mods have you started to do first??

The basic mods for a cooper are CAI, Exhaust and Remap.

theres not an awful lot you can do with a Cooper without having to upgrade the clutch and box. Most people go for just an air intake and exhaust - or the very similar JCW sound kit from the dealer.

Then you can do lots exterior and interior mods, brakes etc etc. If you want huge BHP gains your better off just going for a S.

no the S isn't a straight swap - as such - although it can be done. You would need the gearbox and transmission too as well as a new Bonnet - the profile of the bonnet is quite different as well as having a scoop - way too much messing around tbh.
