Mini Tlc Xl

Is it worth it? £300 for a inspection, oil service and brake fluid change.

Any thoughts or should I go to my local independent garage?

Would you change your mind if I told you my local BMW dealer wanted £297 for the inspection service alone?

Just been denied the TLC XL as I have too many modifications on my car for BMW's liking. A whole 3 . I phoned the service department at Mill MINI in Boldon and that's what they were asking. I then phoned Robertshaws racing, a local company who also have entered a team in the MINI challange in the past, and they want £79 for the service. Brake fluid change will be extra.

From a personal point of view I don't believe that £297 is a fair price to pay for what is basically an oil change and snoop around the car looking for problems. I was prepared to pay for TLC XL however.

I just extended my TLC Xl last week, i had'nt thought about the mods situationa s i have GTT230+ spec, but to be honest there is a high chance i may sell the car over the next 3yrs, so that is the reason i extended it as i think the TLC pack will help the resale a little. And to be honest as the mini is the car it is, i think you will stand out more if you DON'T have Full BMW service history in the eyes of buyers, and yes we all know that BMW mecahnics are no better than most others, but fickle buyers looking to part with 7 or 8 grand are going to want to see it, especially as there are sooooo many minis on sale that do have full BMW service, not worth not having it. Oh and 300 quid for 3 years, seems cheap, thats why i did it.
