Offline | Has anyone used Proshine? Just been watching Ideal World and they've had this Proshine Spray and shine car washing spray that doesn't use water, has anyone used it? It would seem to turn the 3 hour car clean into 20 minutes. Any thoughts? |

Offline | Hi, having owned a car valeting business some years ago, I would be very sceptical of the product !! You need to use water to wash off the dust and road film prior to polishing, otherwise you will scratch and mark the paintwork. |

Offline | My daughters boyfriend has used the pro shine that he got off Ideal world and it ceratinly brought a shine to his Clio. It's a bit like Meguiars quick detailer. As long as the car isn't covered in mud the Meguiars works great. With the Meguiars you have to use a 100% terry towelling as the cloth because apparently the dirt gets in to the pile and doesn't stay on top and scratch the paint. I've used Meguiars on my SB MO , my PW MO and now my CR R56 MCS. ![]() |

| Whats this Datsun? | A neighbour was using that product yesterday and I observed with some scepticism but was surprised at the finish...I wouldn't be sure about the long term effects on the paintwork though as caesar has pointed out... ![]() ![]() Mini Mania 08 13th July 08 - Durham - Its mahoosive! ![]() North East Mini Club - More Mini Fun in the North East!!![]() |

Offline | ProShine Spray & Shine I have been using this product for the last three years, I have used numerous other produts in the past and this beats them all hands down. I buy it from www-netparts-co-uk You can read all customers reviews on there. As for scepticism I was at first but when you look at the science behind this product it will prevent scratching a great deal more than a sponge and water. The Carnuaba wax actually lubricates the dirt particles away from the body unlike what a sponge and water does, hence this is where we always see swirl marks on vehicles, not anymore with ProShine. A+++ to ProShine. |

Offline | Check out their product called ProShine Diamond Glaze for the ultimate in long term protection, Boeing use this to protect their aircraft from the elements. I have applied this to my cars and the results are brilliant. My car keeps much cleaner for a longer period of time. ![]() |

![]() You can put lipstick on.. | I used Miracle Dry Wash a similar product on the GP and I have to admit it is a very good product for sorting out a quick wash with just surface dirty stuff after a wet day. No swirl marks and a very nice shine. Unfortunately it rained again today ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | I, too, was incredibly scepticle - as I am with all things sold on shopping channels - but I took the plunge and bought it and it really is incredible stuff. I was a little wary using it without cleaning my car first in case of scratching it but again absolutely no scratched appeared... really amazing stuff. You can find it on eBay if you do a search for Proshine as I struggled to find it after it appeared on Ideal World |

Offline | Prolong There is a synthetic wax product made in California by the Prolong people called "Waterless Wash & Shine" that sounds very much like the product you are discribing. I have been using this on my Mini since new (05) and the product is excellent. I do not use the waterless method, never have, but use the product after washing and drying in normal fashion, apply this product and buff to a faboulous shine. As I live in a harsh winter climate the synthetics are best, and this is a good product. I usually redo the simple task four times a year, wash the car every week and more, and the car looks like new (Chilli Red and Black). This product can be used over the trim wheels etc and with always good results. See their site at www.prolong.com |

Offline | Personally I use Meguiars products, their Carnuba Wax is excellent for the bodywork. I also use their Trim Detailer for the black Vinyl trim on the wheel arches and lower side trims. I polish the bodywork about 3-4 times a year and likewise with the Vinyl Trim. My MCS is Chilli Red and looks fantastic using these products. If you have metallic paintwork then synthetic polish is possibly better. |
