Offline | Cleaning Seats Hi all, was wondering if any of you could advise me on cleaning my seats (half leather). I had a small mark on the fabric part of the passenger seat left by someone after a night out, God knows what it could be . Anyhow I tried cleaning it using the stuff supplied to me in a care pack that I got with my MINI as I bought the VPP or whatever it is, which covers blemishes on the paintwork or interior. I used this stuff, and when it dried it looked 10X worse as it left sort of water marks where I had applied the foam. Any ideas how I can get rid of these. Not sure if I'm applying it correctly (I sprayed it on the stained area, as per instructions, but this has left marks around the area where its dried). The VPP cover I have on my car means I can take it in and they will clean the seats, but as I'm having all sorts of issues with the dealers atm I was trying to avoid this. Many Thanks Mike |

| MINI2 Master | Another reason why i went for full leather on my second MINI R56. I had the same issue with my half leather seats, as the cloth part stains unbelievably easy. If you try and spot clean it, it will look worse every time. The only way i managed to sort stains was to use a good fabric cleaner BUT you must clean the whole seat panel and try and keep it as dry as possible. Whist slightly damp but not dry give it a final wipe with a rolled up cloth / pad. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

| MINI2 Regular | If you have access to a wet/dry vac or extractor then treat the area with a carpet/fabric cleaner, aggitate with a firm bristle brush and suck out with warm water. If not, clean the area as before and pat with damp cloths and move to dry cloths to extract the moisture. It doesn't work as well as wet vac'ing but it should do the trick. |

Offline | Cheers Japper and AndyH_MCS, tried what you suggested, I cleaned the whole panel, unfortunately I only had some crappy Turtle Wax stuff. I have since cleaned it down with a damp cloth, and dried it off with a dry cloth. Its looking better already although, I will need to have a good look in proper light. Will let you know how it goes. |
