Guys,
I've been looking for a specific Meguairs item (Metal Polysh) but the two sites I know of dont stock it.

I use the following sites:

Anyone else got any recommendations ?

Have you looked at A world for detailers... before? Loads of info/tips/products for sale. It's a really friendly site, & if you sign up you can get discount on a lot of the traders web sites.

cool, not known about that one.

i am kinda wanting to claybar the car, but fearful i'll get it wrong. i need someone to come over and "school" me in the art of claybar'ing i think !

I used the Meguiar's Quik Clay kit on my Compact (two weeks to MCS collection and counting) and did no damage. Since I'm the most cack-handed person I know, I'd say that reading the instructions and checking out one of the vids online should get you started. Lots of lube, little pressure, fold the clay to expose a clean surface as it picks up stuff, chuck it out if you drop it are the basic rules.

Emboldened by the success with the clay, I went on to ScratchX (get rid of swirls and a few hedge-induced scratches - I live very deep in the countryside) the whole car (twice for most areas, three times for where a dirty football had landed hard on my bonnet - thanks little brother) and I'm delighted with the results. Two good results with Meguiar's products without adding any more scratches - I think I'll stop whilst I'm ahead!
