 New Clutch Price Colleague at work needs a new clutch on his MCS Cabrio was shocked to find BMW sdealers want around £1500! Lives in Essex area any good independents out there with fairer prices please  Too many freaks not enough circuses Tell a man that there are 400 billion stars and he'll believe you. Tell him a bench has wet paint and he has to touch it.  |

| Give 1320 Autos (www.1320autos.com) a ring. They have very competitive labour rates and do a fantastic job. They are in Cambridge though but its well worth the trip. There is M Style in Romford way but from the reaction of mates and on forums i would steer well clear. Not heard of anyone else really. |

| Stephen James wanted £710.00 all done & dusted if its the clutch only. Add another £600.00 if it needs a new fly wheel too!! Anyway a big thank you for the info The best price from a small local garage was circa £750.00 for clutch & fly wheel or £380.00 clutch only so for now he is going with the indi on this job Too many freaks not enough circuses Tell a man that there are 400 billion stars and he'll believe you. | I think they have to drop part of the gearbox for the clutch, this is why it might be slightly pricey. Best thing to do, if ur car is in warranty, do about 6000 rpm, let the clutch out. Do this a few times and go for warranty with thrust bearing issues, they wil change the clutch then  /PS - Dont do this.  Has had too many minis |
