Offline | Hey Had my mini for about a month now and excuse my ignorance here but I cant seem to find a jack anywhere! I looked under the carpeted line in the boot and NOTHING! I looked under the car too and couldnt see any sign of a spare wheel or anywhere where one could go. In the book, it puts a star next to mini with spare wheel so my guess is not all mini's came with a spare wheel which I am guessing is due to run flats. Surely there should be a jack though? HELP ME! PLEASE! |

Offline | It is an odd one! I thought I better ask rather than ponder lol Im after some 17s thats all and I am thinking now that its prob best to stick to the run flat option. Gonna have to get them fitted somewhere now though otherwise I would have done it myself |

Offline | Have you looked behind the panels on the side of the boot. I thinks the jack is behind the left hand side one in some cars. Laser Blue / Black MCS - Arived March 07 |

Offline | Yeah I tried there but I just found the pouch containing the tool kit and locking wheel key No sign of a jack! May just invest in a trolley jack or be really lazy and get someone at a garage to do the dirty work lol |

Offline | OK I had a 03 Cooper with no spare because I had S poke 17" wheels. Under the carpet in the boot was a hole for the spare though (shell is the same as a Cooper with a spare so its still got the space). Sitting in the hole under carpet was a polystyrene block with moulded gaps in it. These gaps hold the towing eye, jack and several other items required to keep the MINI on the road. Yours should have the same. If you have runflats the jack may not have been supplied (it was on mine, but maybe not all) as in theory you won't need it as you can drive on the runflat. If you have an S you sometimes find the jack is possitioned in one of the cubby holes in the side panels in the boot. Remove both and see if you have a small toolket velcored in the side panel hole. I found that my delaer had wrapped a jack in a cloth and hidden it behind the cubby on the right in my S when I bought it. |
