Which Fuel should us MINI Drivers use?

Hi Guys,

Well, i thought i would start a topic because i am unsure which fuel would be the best to use. I have searched for a topic which is the same as this but no luck, please feel free to point me in the direction should i have missed the topic!

Anyway, The ONLY fuel that touches my car is SUPER UNLEADED. Because for a few pence per litre extra, you get more mpg, your car is cleaner, and the response is better. But the question is, which company should we use?
I currently use Shell. Although i have tried Total, but i got 20 miles more out of my tank using Shell. That may have been down to driving though.

So what does everyone else find as the best fuel? I have heard BP is good, but i am too scared to try just in case i am wasting my money (tight a*se!)

Some c'mon guys....What d'ya use????

Ive never used anything but BP Ultimate in my ONE, not sure if its a good thing or bad thing (Jon keep quiet )

She always performs really well, and i can always make 400 miles (if not more) out of a tankful

400 miles! Damn thats good - I get around 345 miles (350 if i am lucky)

I might start trying BP Ultimate! Do they do any kind of reward cards? I like shell also because they have a loyalty scheme.

I use Sainsburys Super, Tesco 99, Shell optimax/v-power and BP ultimate 98. The sainsburys stuff is fine, but on my tuned car it makes it popple and often really bang on overrun.. more than normal, I assume that this is because the octane is obviously a little low and the ECU is obviously trying to adjust to WOT needs by throwing extra fuel in. With optimax and tesco 99 I notice a smoother, more fuel efficient drive, and the engine popples and bangs a little less. With BP ultime, I have to say I notice no difference at all to stock fuel....my car runs like a bag of nails on 95 octane and the supposed BP ultimate 98 feels almost the same. Who knows what is actually best, but I will run 97 super or v-power/tesco and on occassion add some aldon race fuel addative for extra octane security and a bit of fun

Is there a particular type of diesel we should use for our Doopers?

I use Asda as i get 2p off a litre but is there such a thing as 'super disel' that is better for the car?

i use tesco 99.

Car runs much better on that than the 95 stuff. much more responsive, better fuel consumption, on 99 i get around 330-340 out of a tank. on 95 i get around 300.

Also use and like Tesco 99, seems as good as Shell, better than BP, and a whole lot cheaper than both in the S. For the One we used to use the cheap stuff as it honestly appeared to make no difference to consumption or performance using super.

My MCS has only ever been fed Optimax/V-Power and BP Ultimate since birth. Recently I've started using Tesco 99 instead of the BP and my exhaust is bubbling less.

My wallet is thin but the smiles are wide...
