United-Kingdom dodo juice

Just ordered some dodo juice car polish (blue velvet for dark cars) & was wondering if anyone else had tried it & if it was any good.

I tried some of the early samples. One was green colour and the other yellow.I assume the colours have now changes.
The green was a very hard wax and dififcult to remove the yellow was much softer and easier to apply and remove and IMO was the better product.
Best thing to do is look on Detailers World youll find more than you bargained for there !

i have now tried it, i lime primed it first & the used the blue velvet which is a hard wax. it wasn't that difficult to get off & im really impressed with the results. Ive tried autoglym, meguiars NXT & Gold class & P21s & think that this gives a more wet look shine

I've applied one coat of Banana Armour (hard wax) followed by two coats of Purple Haze (soft wax) and was very pleased with the results.

Hi,
Just joined the forum as picking up my 2007 mini one in Astro Black next Saturday!!!!
The dealership where I am getting it from has recommended that I get it "A glazed" (?) but at a cost of £299 I think that this is a bit steep!
I am interested in the DODO juice mentioned and wonder what products I need to get as there seems so many different types.

Thank you in advance-Great site by the way. I am addicted already-hubbie thinks I am ironing up here!!!.

Personally I wouldn't pay that sort of money!

If you feel your up for doing it yourself, then get some lime prime and then give it a couple of coats of a hard wax. Blue velvet is good, it's a colour charged wax especially for darker cars, it will turn your car into a big mirror!

If your not up for doing it yourself, have a look on detailing world, and find someone to come and detail it for you. You'll get a much better job than the dealers paint protection system.

Really isn't worth paying £299 if you want to put the time in, plus you will probably get better results doing it yourself.
Good advice from hollinshead. Definitely buy Lime Prime and a hard wax is best going into winter. Personally I'm a fan of Supernatural which you should get at least 3 months protection from two coats

Too much money and not needed. It is a dealer money maker.

You might want to check out Adam's Polishes. I have tried this product myself and love it. Best stuff that I have ever used.

Car Wax, Car Polish, Auto Detail Supplies - Adam's Polishes

They give a discount for being a MINI2 member as well.

I got a 4 pack sample of the hard wax, really impressed with it! used the yellow one for the black roof and the candy white for the white paint work. Its the best wax I have ever used on any of my cars.

You should be using Blue Velvet on your black roof?

Hey yeah I know what you are saying..

Dodo Juice Waxes

But after reading on DW it wont make much difference, it wont go through the clear coat! The great thing about the sample pack is you can try them all. the Hue differences are very very minor..and on a black roof it will be impossible to tell. Each wax contains different ingredients so im seeing what works best for me, then i will buy a big tub.

I used purple haze over the summer and thought it was a good wax easy to put on and i got good results with it.

I've given the Mini 3 coats of collinite 476s for the winter but i'm think of trying out Jetseal 109.
