Hi,

just a quick question, have never used clay bars before and just got the meguiars quick clay kit to use next time i have a free weekend.

Just wondered about the use of clay with bonnet stripes and the vinyl checks on my roof, do you clay around them or can you use the clay on them?

any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Clay around the vinyl and be careful around the edges

thats what i was thinking, need to be really careful on the bonnet as i found one of the edges peeling slightly the other day!

No worries

I've caught my stripes a couple of times with no drama so it should be ok. It just depends on how well the vinyl was applied! Always air on the side of caution
