Inspection 1 - renew brake fluid sealant bottle??

Hi all,
Just looking through my service book (R53) and wondering what the top entry on page 22 means.

"Change brake fluid in accordance with the Service Interval indicator.
renew the sealant bottle after 2 years at the latest, charged additionally."

I've had my TLC brake fluid service at 2 years as per the service book but nothing was mentioned at the time about a "sealant bottle".

Inspection 1 will be done in August (2 years since first TLC oil service.....I've paid for an additional oil service myself in that period ) and at that point the car is 3 1/2 years old.

Could someone please explain?

Many thanks, Geoff.

I'm surprised that no one has yet replied to this. Surely the "sealant bottle" is nothing to do with the brake fluid, it's the emergancy tyre repair sealant in the boot.

Hi, yes that would make complete sense - would've been nice to see the words "Mini mobility kit" in that sentence to clarify exactly whet they were talking about...

As I have S-spokes and run-flats no need for a mobility kit.

Thanks for clearing that up..

Cheers, Geoff.
