hey guys

im planning on purchasing a mini one via a private sale, the mileage is 75k and has had 3 previous owners, one was a garage then 2 proper owners i think, the asking price is 5000 or nearest offer, im willing to pay around 4500 for it if the person will budge, visiting on sunday, my question is how many mileages can the mini one take up to? ive seen several on sale which are over 100,000 miles and selling for around 3k -4k, can anyone advise?? also what do i need to be careful about when buyin a mini one? the last car i got was a vauxhall corsa and there was faults with it soon as i got it so had to dish out £200 or so to get it put right. dont fancy doing that again!

I have a One which has just hit 100k. It is being traded in next week for £3,500.

There have been no major problems with the car for the last 6 years, but I recently had to have the clutch replaced and have an issue with leakage from the gearbox sorted. Both of these were fairly expensivem, particularly the clutch (I have always had it serviced by a main dealer, which doesnt help the cost). Other than that there are the usual wear issues like tyres, break pads/discs, break fluid and coolant changes etc which could cost you if they are needed soon.
