Mini Service 55,000 miles

Hi, I've recently hit 55,000 miles with my mini, and I was wondering if there's a list anywhere on this site that tells you what kind of maintenance that needs to be done at certain miles?

I remember reading that 55,000 miles you should have your CVT transmission fluid changed. The manual tells you only of the inspections, but nothing really else. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi, if i were you just go to halfords and buy yourself a mini haynes workshop manual, it tells you in there all the service intervals, and if i were you i would get the gearbox oil changed every 12,000 miles, it would certainly need doing after 55,000. My mini has done 92,000 miles and ive had my engine oil changed every 8, 000 miles and had it serviced regulary, and my car still feels like new!!

I have a 2003 with the CVT transmission. If I recall correctly, it is supposed to be maintenance free. I made a recent visit to the local MINI dealer to have the transmission codes reset (it wasn't shifting properly), and no mention was made of changing the fluid. I may be wrong, but I believe the CVT is a series of pulleys that don't require fluid.

Item on Inspection Service checklist:
  • Change CVT (automatic) transmission fluid
