| Hi, if i were you just go to halfords and buy yourself a mini haynes workshop manual, it tells you in there all the service intervals, and if i were you i would get the gearbox oil changed every 12,000 miles, it would certainly need doing after 55,000. My mini has done 92,000 miles and ive had my engine oil changed every 8, 000 miles and had it serviced regulary, and my car still feels like new!! |

I have a 2003 with the CVT transmission. If I recall correctly, it is supposed to be maintenance free. I made a recent visit to the local MINI dealer to have the transmission codes reset (it wasn't shifting properly), and no mention was made of changing the fluid. I may be wrong, but I believe the CVT is a series of pulleys that don't require fluid. |
